Chickpea Flour Flatbread

Traditionally this is ceci focaccia , a simple gluten free version of flat bread..so tasty though!

Equipment

  • 1 blender optional

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup chickpea flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 3-4 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp salt / black salt
  • 1/2 tsp oregano / rosemary / other herbs of choice
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric - optional
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp caraway seeds - optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven at 190C.
  • Generously prepare a pan of choice, tap generously with olive oil or line with parchment paper.
  • Blend everything together using a blender or:
  • In a medium size bowl add the flour and the water incrementally (important), mix well using a whisk to avoid making lumps.
  • Add all spices and herbs and the olive oil.
  • Pour the batter into the pan, should be at half inch thick or by preference.
  • Bake for 15 - 20 minute until brown on top, depends on the oven and thickness.
  • Serve warm or cold..enjoy!
